| OK, I can do that. I just hope for $35,000 the Light Box Lady remembers to turn on the lights when the fireworks show is over. Guess I'll have to write an article for the HUB saying the Edgewater fireworks show is back on, we wouldn't want the Light Box Lady to look like a liar. |

Dude, it was expressly requested by the people paying for this little shin-dig that it was not to be put in the papers. You trying to ruin the event by going to the HUB are you just blinded by some kind of rage? |

I saw the article in the HUB that said we cancelled the July 3rd "shindig" and EW Daze. Now the "shindig" is back on. Credibility has to count for something doesn't it? What are all of those Denver, Lakewood and Wheat Ridge people going to think when they see the fireworks going off over Edgewater on July 3rd? It's not like we can hide it. Well, they are going to think that we are just plumb unneighborly. Next thing you know, they won't shop here or eat at our hamburger joints or get drunk at Sloans or buy EW Inn Pizza. Then they will stop mutual assist with our PD & FD. The bums will stop coming over from the lake and W. Colfax (got to lose the good and the bad). They will stop sending their kids to our schools and they won't allow all of those Edgewater kids to open enroll in their schools.
Credibility, it is everything. |

Maybe we could rent some of that really cool riot gear from the Denver PD that they got for the DNC. Eight Edgewater cops hanging off the running board of a tricked out Chevy Suburban all decked out in SWAT gear. How cool is that!  |
