You aren't the same Marine that salutes the flag, in public, without honor of military cover are you? I know a lot of military personnel and veterans and they all know better. That is almost as reckless as Obamas threat to invade an ally in the war on terrorism, namely Pakistan. That was a betrayal of the American trust on public television and Obama didn't even blink an eye. Obama went to Iraq and tried to undermine the Commander and Chief not only with the Iraq leadership but also tried to pull a military coup with General Petraeus. In lessor countries than the United States that would be considered treason.

It was not a malevolent statement, I mentioned nothing of his service to this country but just like Obama he obviously knows nothing about military protocol. When in civilian dress the hand is to be placed over the heart when saluting the flag.
Obviously I'm not to far off on this one. 72% of Americans feel John McCain would be a good Commander and Chief to Obamas 48% in a recent ABC poll. There is more to running this country than economics and social engineering.

Hey gang... as part of the National Defense Authorization Act 2008 signed into law by the President on January 28, 2008 the change to allow active duty and veteran military to salute rather than hold hand over heart has been authorized.
There seems to be some confusion on if this went through or not so I am putting this up as official notice.
SEC. 594. CONDUCT BY MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES AND VETERANS OUT OF UNIFORM DURING HOISTING, LOWERING, OR PASSING OF UNITED STATES FLAG.
Section 9 of title 4, United States Code, is amended by striking `all persons present' and all that follows through the end of the section and inserting the following: `all persons present in uniform should render the military salute. Members of the Armed Forces and veterans who are present but not in uniform may render the military salute. All other persons present should face the flag and stand at attention with their right hand over the heart, or if applicable, remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Citizens of other countries present should stand at attention. All such conduct toward the flag in a moving column should be rendered at the moment the flag passes.'.

That act was passed on January 28th of this year, my observations were made long before that. I know, we have a Marine that can see into the future. Just like the Prophet Barack. 
Wasn't the Dark Ages ran by the mystics? By the way the Majority Democrates shot themselves in the foot and failed the Bail Out by 94 Democrate votes against passage and they want to blame it on the Republicans. Thank God there are 94 right thinking Democrats in Congress.

It's backI thought it was too good to be true. For just a little while all the infighting of Edgewater succumbed to the bigger picture of our national issues.
Guess it was just too much to hope that we could rise above the BS that has become the pasttime of Edgewater.

Does the Pledge of Allegiance even fall under:
a) Hoisting
b) Lowering
c) Passing
of the flag? Would it be considered passing since it really isn't going anywhere.
Not picking on anyone, just curious.
