Rumor Has ItI heard the Police Department is going to be evicted by the Bar. If true what will we do?????????? I guess we could put a tent at the 20th and Depw site.

I haven't heard that rumor - but we really ought to have some sort of a plan in case Sloan's DOES decide they don't want to renew our lease.

I agree with this poster. Thank you for your focus on facts and positive ideas, rather than the "awfulizing" and "but what if the sky falls?" and "throw in the towel, we are all doomed" attitudes put forward here. No one ever got anywhere with attitudes like that and they tend to be infectious.
I want Edgewater to be a happy community putting its best face forward. We may not be rich but we can become a great place to live. Keep the dream alive, do something to make it true. Thanks for listening.

Its been 25 years in the same run down junk. Same discussions,
the city leaders turned down many inexcpensive opportunities to purchase
other buildings because we could not afford it. Its never a priority because the
leaders don't care about cops or the conditions they work in.

When someone wants to buy a house where is the first place they go? Usually to the Police Department. Try a walk thru our investigations unit. Seems like a sad example of how we portray our City to newcomers. Even Prisoners think it's a joke.

I completely agree with the guest(s) of 02-16 @ 12:13 and 02-20 @ 8:24. I don't see how any of this is productive?
To the guest at 5:31pm: If the first thing you do, when you buy a house is to check the Police Dept. and acually know prisioners; makes me just wonder what I'm missing.
On a lighter but, serious note.....I felt it best to put this here since, I did not think it was worthy of its own topic. I had the occation to be rolling down W.25th Ave. today. Here's my question.
Just how many phone books does the Heritage Center need? I don't know who's job this is but, I'm wondering if anyone is keeping an eye on this place. Someone, if not me, should be peeking at it at least once a week.
