PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing is to be held by the Edgewater City Council to consider budget modifications to the 2008 Budget and on the proposed 2009 Budget.
Said Hearing will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 2401 Sheridan Blvd., Edgewater, CO, when and where all interested parties may appear and be heard. Interested electors of the City of Edgewater may file any objections to the proposed budget at any time prior to the final adoption of the budget by the City Council. Said objections should be directed to the City Clerk’s Office, 2401 Sheridan Blvd., Edgewater, CO, 80214.
The 2009 Proposed Budget contains anticipated revenues in the total amount of budget $5,899,022, which includes the following funds;
1. General Fund $3,940,122
2. Utility Fund $1,186,800
3. Capital Improvement
Fund $ 3,000
4. Capital Equipment Fund $ 3,500
5. Conservation Trust Fund $ 63,600
6. Pension Funds $ 511,000
7. Debt Service Fund $ 0
8. Open Space Fund $ 145,000
9. Surcharge Fund $ 46,000
and;
The 2009 Proposed Budget appropriates the estimated operating and capital expenditures in the total amount of $7,013,939, which includes the following funds;
1. General Fund $4,008,555
2. Utility Fund $1,448,300
3. Capital Improvement
Fund $ 160,000
4. Capital Equipment Fund $ 110,000
5. Conservation Trust Fund $ 92,555
6. Pension Funds $ 410,525
7. Debt Service Fund $ 431,507
8. Open Space Fund $ 247,997
9. Surcharge Fund $ 104,500
Copies of the 2009 Proposed Budget may be obtained at the City Clerk’s Office at 2401 Sheridan Blvd., Edgewater, CO 80214. The hours are 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
