I think the reception is scheduled for before the meeting. The public will be invited to meet the candidates.

Interviewing Process

City Manager InterviewReading the information sent from the Town Cryer, I got the impression Council was going to conduct the interviews for a City Manager during a public meeting. Can this be so?

No. The interviews are on Friday. It will not be a public process.
That would really be embarrassing!

Meet the City Manager CandidatesOn May 30 before the City Council Meeting we have an opportunity to meet the long awaited Edgewater City Manager - although we don't know which one it will be.
However, if you want the candidates to know how you feel about life in Edgewater and what you would like to see happen this is the time to do a little schmoozing and hey, there will probably be cake.
A lot of people worked really hard to make this day happen. Let's go down and welcome them to our town and thank them for their interest in Edgewater and let them hear, "from the horses mouth" what we would like to see happen here.

Thank you for your post, just wanted to correct the date. It is April 30th. This Thursday night.

The one thing that you can always count on for any 'event' at city council is snacks. One of President Cooke's greatest accomplishments was the coercion, uh.....encouragement to have snacks for just about any 'special' event.
