Thats what happens when the Mayor forbids you from having meetings for over six months and refuses to make appointments to fill vacancies. She basically gutted the Board. I wish the new Board well and hope they get on track sooner than later. Other than that it was politics as usual. Council has some work to do on all the B&Cs, lets hope they make that a priority now that we have a CM on board.

I still don’t understand what your talking about. Maybe you don’t like the mayor but she does have the authority to gut a board if she wants to. I for one think it was a needed thing to do. The current board is on track. They have already patched up relationships with the director are working on projects not politics. And what the heck was the point of posting yet another board agenda, especially an old one????

The only politics being played in the past was by the Director. She never would have allowed the Board to discuss Park Fees, she would have went crying to the Mayor that the Board was trying to do her job. We will see if this new Board is at the park cleaning up after the July third event.

I believe meeting minutes are written in the time between meetings and then approved at the following meeting. So, how can you say there are no minutes when the minutes can't be placed in the record until the next meeting?

We are into four meetings of this "new" Board and they have not approved one set of minutes.

the first meeting they had to appoint a new member immediately just to attain a quorum, there was no secretary to take minutes

the second meeting someone volunteered to take minutes
the third meeting they did approve minutes
the fourth meeting they did approve minutes
this board is still learning the ropes but they are getting things done and they haven't done anything, at least intentionally,wrong
give them a break!

i'm not sure where you are getting your information but i would check with the City Clerk

why are you trying to bash this board? they are a good group of people trying to do the right thing, are you playing the minutes watchdog with all the other b & c's too, or do you have an in for this board for some reason?

If u wanna crack on somebody try the new bottom of the barrel treasurer who can't even get the employees checks deposited in the correct banks.
