ERA: Eccentic Reactive Activities????Hey what is up with the ERA- I heard thy're chairperson resigned without notice and another stepped down too? What is going on? Anyone have a clue?

Action speaks - step up and do somethingThe Chair resigned with two weeks notice and I have heard nothing about a second person stepping down.
There has been a vacancy for some time. Now there are two vacancies - any civil minded citizens ready to step up and serve.
By the way the Board of Adjustments and Appeals needs 5 people and they only have two. Not even a quorum.

Civil minded?It would be a nice treat to see some "civil minded" poeple on the ERA instead of the nasty petty uncivil mogrels who are on there now.

ERA workedThe ERA has done some very good work helping local businesses improve the appearance and appeal of their business properties through grants. I hope this continues and that every business takes adantage of the ERA programs.

go-girl's post is exactly why the civic-minded people don't step up and volunteer. the minute you try to do something to help your community, you get called nasty names. go-girl, if you are so smart about what other people do, why aren't you on the ERA or some other Board that needs people?

I would like to thank ALL the volunteers who work diligently behind the scenes never asking for special recognition but working to make our community a better place. They do this not just for themselves but for all those who sit home and make judgements without bothering to step up or to offer any help. We have many board vacancies that need to be filled. Instead of judging from the sidelines those who do volunteer, try being part of the process. If you can't be on a board, why not go to a few meetings, call the boards, write the boards. From what I know, citizen input is scarce. Speak up but quit condemning if you can't or won't offer some constructive help. Volunteer at some level. Make a difference.

Or are you just looking for some sheep to blindly follow you.
Maybe that's why they do not come out and join the boards , they have heard of all the infighting and general BS that goes along with it . Maybe thats why they quit.

Dare I say Ronalda was not the worst Mayor we have had, that honor was to come after her. So how much attention are you paying to your Boards and Commissions Madam Mayor?

So what harm has the current mayor done to any of our current boards or commissions? Seriously, I can’t think of anything that she has or has not done. Frankly she is pretty much a no show, which is better than the traditional micro-manage the hell of everyone approach that we’ve had in the past.

I'll come drnk a beer with you- keys OUT of the ignition of course! ...............mayor who frankly....................well i'll just keep my mouth shut. oh them foxesyou forgot the biggest Fox in the hen house. WHO got us into this mess of the Abby and 20th and Depew, selling off the PD and renting it back and who knows what other back door deals were done . We havent seen their "rainbow" that was at the end of the storm. Hell they created the storm and just took the life raft and went bye bye. Leaving us to wonder just where their heads were ,other then up their (_)_).
