Entire Budget Commission Resigns

The Budget Commission resigned enmass last night on the heels of Treasurer Cindy Walkers resignation.  Here is part of their resignation message:

We don't wish to be responsible for an inaccurate budget review.  We also feel the annual budget process has been compromised by the loss of ongoing support and information needed to fulfill that duty.
We realize that we are an "advisory commission" only, however, we believe tha many of our recommendations have been ignored by the Mayor and City Council.  This has caused usto have concerns about the financial stability of the City of Edgewater and have voiced these concerns to the Mayor & City Council numerous times.

Yeah!  Now lets see if we can get rid of that pesky Parks & Rec Board/Tree Commission.  Who do these people think they are?  Just look at what that Charter Commission did to this City (well they were elected but, it still wasn't right).  The way this City is run is none of the Citizens business.  Keep your noses out of things you can't possibly understand.

Don't we have an auditor who can run things in the Treasurers absence or better yet see what if anything she screwed up or left out?  

The budget comm was to cozy with the treasurer for my taste so I say good ridence to an immature group.

How much more do we need to say about a bunch of crybabies who decided to take their ball and go home?  I think the book is closed on this one.
