Congratulations Mr. President

We have elected Barack Obama as our 44th President.  It was a victory well won.  He gave an inspirational acceptance speech.  It is my sincere hope that he is all he appears to be.  I will support him and follow him and I claim him as my President.  That is why I am a Patriot.
Congratulations to all of you who supported and campaigned for him.  You have made history.

I spent this morning reading reader comments in the New York Times from people all around the world thanking America for electing Senator Obama and welcoming us back to the international community (with a grin and joyful tears streaming down my face).  It is so wonderful to be American and feel good about it.
