preferably small ones- i get fresh herbs and chop em up- then freeze them and it's an easy way to use in recipies and stores for far longer than keeping them in the veggie bin! don't thank me- my mom taught me this trick! and I love it.

Great tip. The plastic zippy bags never really did work very well. Too bad all my plastic containers are way too big. But now I'll know what to do with empty spice jars from now on. Thanks
