A Promise

If Barack Obama wins I promise:
1. Not to claim that he ran an unfair campaign.
2. Not complain that he was involved in voter fraud.
3. No longer infer his intentions are to destroy America.
3. Not profound that he was bought by General Electric and NBC.
4. I will proudly stand behind him as my President sans an obvert violation of the public trust (which I do not expect).

Can you Obama supporters make a like promise?  Things are leaning Obamas way but the race is still close.  Are you a true Patriot?  If McCain wins will you get behind him?

Obama and the Runaway Train
The race, the case, a hope for grace.
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1...special_page_campaign2008_mostpop

…in the words of Minnesota's Gov. Tim Pawlenty, "the runaway train." The size and dimension of the likely Democratic victory seem clear. A Democratic House with a bigger, more fervent Democratic majority; a Democratic Senate with the same, and possibly with a filibuster-breaking 60 seats; a new and popular Democratic president, elected by a few points or more; a Democratic base whose anger and hunger have built for eight years; Democratic activists and operatives hungry for business and action. What will this mix produce? A runaway train with no one to put on the brakes, to claim a mandate for slowing, no one to cry "Crossing ahead"? Democrats in Congress will move for innovation when much of the country hopes only for stability. Who will tell Congress of that rest of the nation? Mr. Obama will be overwhelmed trying to placate the innovators….

But let's be frank. Something new is happening in America. It is the imminent arrival of a new liberal moment. History happens, it makes its turns, you hold on for dear life. Life moves.

A fitting end for a harem-scarem, rock-'em-sock-'em shakeup of a year -- one of tumbling inevitabilities, torn coalitions, striking new personalities.

I will support McCain, should he win, with the same amount of support that I have given George Bush.

Then expect the same from conservatives if Obama wins.

Well that sure is the way to bring our country together.

This isn't football

I will support the new President according to how well he does leading this country. I believe that is my right as a citizen. "You can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time". Therein lies the problem.
Let's try asking ourselves what have we done for our country lately.
