| A very friendly black cat with green eyes and a very short tail has been hanging around our house. He or she seems too friendly to not have an owner, but he's almost always at our place. I've affectionately named him "Smoke" and he seems to like the name. We've given him a little dry cat food, but it looks like he eats regularly. We would like to adopt him and have a vet check him, but we don't know if someone owns him. And we're not sure if he and our cat would get along. Anyway, he's really starting to grow on us, but we want to know if he already has a home. If you know who this cat belongs to, can you please leave a message here and let us know. Thanks. |

I'm the wife of the original poster re- the gorgeous black cat who's been hanging around our house. We live near 25th/Eaton-- perhaps he lives nearby?
So, if you're missing a kitty with a very short tail, who is pure black (nose and all), and has piercing green eyes, please let us know. We'd love to return him to you. If not, we're thinking seriously of keeping him (that's if our kitty Malone lets us).
Thanks! |

Sounds to me like you have made friends with Max.
The duplex on the south/east corner of 25th and Eaton, the one with the address on the 25th avenue side, with all the kid cars in the yard, has a black cat with a bobbed tail named Max. He is very friendly and roams around alot. The little boy that lives there seems to be very attached to Max, so please check with this family before placing this cat in a new home. |

Thanks for the info. I surely wouldn't want a kid to be without his pet. He's such a cool, friendly cat. I figured he had to belong to someone but we would have loved to have adopted him. Anyway, "Max/Smoke" can visit us any time he wants to.
